Most-Reposted UK Roles: April 2026
Which sectors keep reposting the same roles? This month's data shows the UK hiring friction hotspots and what they mean for recruiters.
Every month IvyLens tracks how many active job postings are re-listed after failing to close. This is one of the clearest signals that a company is struggling and that a recruiter could add real value.
This month's highlights
Technology continues to lead reposting volumes, with 34% of all reposted roles coming from the sector. Within Technology, Software Engineering and DevOps roles account for the majority, particularly in London and Manchester.
Construction is the surprise mover this month. Site Manager and Project Manager roles have seen a 22% increase in repost rates quarter-on-quarter, driven by infrastructure project start delays pushing demand into Q2.
What reposting signals
A role reposted once is a company that's struggling. A role reposted three times is a company that's desperate and far more likely to engage an external recruiter than one filling positions on the first attempt.
IvyLens scores every repost event. A role live for 45 days, reposted twice, with salary drift gets a significantly higher win probability than a freshly-posted role from a company with no previous friction signals.
Top sectors by repost rate (April 2026)
- Technology: 34% of all reposted roles
- Engineering: 21%
- Construction: 18%
- Finance: 12%
- Healthcare: 8%
What to do with this
If you recruit in Technology or Engineering, this month's data suggests the opportunity density is higher than average. Companies with reposted roles aren't just struggling to fill a position. They're signalling that their internal process has broken down.
